Southend 2019
I took these images on my Pentax ME camera last year, me and my friend Isabell had just got our loans through from uni so we impulsively decided to go to southend on sea in the U.K, and I initially bought the camera with me to document fun. But it quickly turned into a small documentary series, and landscape series. I edited all of them, but I mostly used the levels on photoshop to bring out the details that I sought to show. The sun's reflection on the ocean bounced back remarkably that when I used the highlights and brightness setting this was the result, along with the contrast setting. It really intrigued me how the first one turned out, so I did the same to the rest that had a similar view. Finding a retro bouncy ball/toy machine was something, I hadn't seen one since I was about 12 or 14 when they started getting rid of them outside shops. I shame I always thought, I remember spending many 20ps on machines like this, just like many other kids. It's almost as though it's like a time machine, I haven't seen one in London for so long that when I saw it I actually started at it for a while, unlocking some memories.
